PLANNED MAINTENANCE PROGRAMMES

It is often the case that buildings are maintained on an ad-hoc basis. Most building owners see maintenance as a necessary evil, so repairs get put off and consequently problems become more expensive. For example peeling paintwork on windows can eventually lead to expensive replacement.

The solution is to prepare a pro-active maintenance plan which allows all major expenditure to be planned in advance. Regular maintenance avoids big unexpected expenses. We will provide a thorough review of your property portfolio, and advise you on which works are of priority and in which year they should be undertaken. We will also help you to implement a works programme and advise on budget costs.

DEFECTS DIAGNOSIS AND REMEDY

As independent Chartered Building Surveyors we are generally more experienced and skilled in diagnosing building defects than property professionals in other divisions.

We will investigate your building defects and recommend the most cost effective and practical solution to remedying your problem. Often the problems we encounter have arisen due to either material deterioration, poor workmanship or design.

We have in the past reported upon water ingress problems, structural defects, rising dampness and condensation problems, faulty double glazed window and door installations and poor workmanship following completion of extension or refurbishment works.
